passengers in the truck-bed

Postby Warthog » Mon May 31, 2010 6:23 pm

What is your opinion about people in the bed of a mud truck? I really hate to see people riding in the back of a truck, slammin' through the pits. I think that it would be fine if they had some sort of seating arrangement for passengers, perhaps even seat belts, but just standing in the back, holding the "roll" bar, or sitting on the wheel-wells, that's seems a tad bit dangerous... Anyone have an opinion? Arguments for or against? Discuss...

I agree, people who are seat belted in the bed are ok. Those who are just along for the ridr hanging on to whatever are a no no.

This should be a no-brainer but apparently people just don't see it that way.

So it sounds to me that we need to take it upon ourselves to educate the brainless...

Of course the Law or government don't believe in Darwin, only preventing it from happening. I sure would hate to see a bog shutdown because someone got flung out of a truck or their head injured from banging it against the truck some how.

I was glad to see some enforcement of this stupidity at the last bog. People were even riding ON the back of the rear seat in Jeeps.... here is another idea for the morons, get some handcuffs and cuff yourself to the roll bar

I don't think I would personally even wish to be belted in a truck bed, unless it has a roll bar........No one is ever gonna roll, just ask Richy. Death doesn't have a do over button.

I've put my soap box away for a bit, but I think many of you know my deep hearted opinion on this subject. Especially when it's the little kids floppin around back there, one sure hit into a "toilet bowl", and their little low weight bodies are sure to flip anywhere... under the mud they go to either drown or be ran over.

I have actually been thinking about puting seats in the back of my truck once the roll bar is done gonna bolt them to the frame and put seat belts in I was actually trying to decide if lap belts were enough for the way I drive

i agree do with out the passengers in the back of trucks.hate to sound like a fun govener but all it will take is one moron to get flung out or hit his head and the blame game starts.everything runs pretty smooth at the mud bogs now.we dont need another reason for them to try to shut down events.hey that is my 2 cents take it or leave it !!!!! :hmmm:

I'd gladly see your 2 cents and add mine to the pot. No need for passengers in the back. Another dumb thing I have seen is people riding in the back while pulling or being pulled out. Dum basses.
